Hi All

Those of you who watched the half time show at the SuperBowl probably wondered Why Fergie's mic was not on.
So did I , Well with 3 mixers one for house one for stage in ear monitor and one for the broadcast truck at least some one would have heard something eitheir the stadium or transmission truck unless her mic switch was not turned on.

I don't care for football, so I didn't see what you're talking about, but I have a theory that has stood the test of time:

With regard to microphones with switches on them:

Invariably, the switch is OFF when it should be ON, and ON when it should be OFF!

That's why I always locked the switches in mic's on the ON position (as in the Altec 650A/B) so the "artist" couldn't mess things up.
